Stress and Psychological health post and respond

Buddy Crying Clip ArtI'm doing mine on sleep well think well.  Rule # 7  I know from experience what a full eight hours will do.  Not only will you do lousy, your emotions are so out of whack.  And your reaction time to just simple conversation is lousy, and my concentration just isn't there. (wonderful thing REM sleep, and it's not a rock group).  Now just to do some activity and avoid things that stimulate me (like video games or an exciting movie).  I make it a point not to drink caffeine after 1 p.m.  IT WIRES ME FOR SOUND!!!!!!  (shaky) WHOSE THAT??  (just kidding)  Plus the body has time to repair or replace the damaged cells and anything else related to healing.  (who likes to go around with red eyeballs)?

  1. one time I stayed up all night studying for a test, that was the worst decision ever. I was a zombie that morning, not even coffee did the trick. So, when you say we need a good night sleep I believe it. I do wonder why bears are so grumpy after sleeping all winter.

  2. Of course the trick to this is getting to bed on time in the first place. Not drinking coffee after 1pm is good advice - it's odd, sometimes I want to drink coffee at 5, tell myself the last thing I need is caffeine, but when I think to get decaf my reaction is "well might as well just not have coffee, there's no point." ???? my brain is weird.

    1. No substitute for sleep. Not even energy drinks help at some points

  3. It really interested me how you think about sleep. For instance, me i dont know why but even if i get my 8hrs of sleep i have trouble staying asleep. Also, i feel like while im asleep my brain is still thinking about things so when i wake up i feel like if i dint get any sleep.

    1. It amazes me how well functioning some people are after a certain number of hours, but of course that catches up with some.

    2. Or houw about if it's one hour before the alarm goes off the mind races and wakes you up. No use going to bed at that point. It sometimes effects how you function in the group. I'd like to get 8 hrs, but that's not always possible
